This unique App lets you search through thousands of famous quotes in English or Spanish using four alternate search filters: by Author, by Key Word or Key Phrase, by Category or by Text Match of a given word. Some numbers: 8,000+ English quotes with their Spanish translation, 2,500+ Authors, 55 categories and 25,000 Key Words and Key Phrases.

On top of that, it offers a Spanish translation for all English quotes and vice versa.

As usual with Word Magic Software, we have also added a few other unique and surprising features within the standard functionality of the App, such as the ability to use your own photos as a background for your selected quotes, marking them as favorites and sharing with your friends through Facebook, Twitter, Messages, Email and other major social networks

• What are “Key Words and Key Phrases”? This is a unique Search feature made possible only through the use of Relational Databases such as Word Magic’s.

It is quite different from exact “Text” search --also an option in the app--, which looks for the exact matching word in a quote. For instance, if one searches the word ‘do’, the app will show as many as ____ quotes which include that exact match anywhere in the text. See for example:

“Be absolutely determined to enjoy what you do” --. Gerry Sikorski

However, if you search using “do” as a Key Word, the program will show not only the quotes with “do” but also with all its inflected forms (“did, does, done, doing”, etc).

But there is more: The verb “do” will match as a Keyword only when it is meaningful in the quote, not merely when it appears just anywhere inside the text.

However, the most relevant functionality of the “Key Word / Key Phrase” search method is that you can search by a whole set phrase or idiom. To illustrate this, let’s search for “do harm”

The app found – among others—this quote from Shakespeare:

“I am a great eater of beef, and I believe that does harm to my wit.”

Notice that it found “does harm’, whereas the Key Phrase was “do harm”. It also found another quote which had the same verb with a qualifier inserted in between: “do little harm.”

This other example illustrates the extent to which the “Key Phrase” function interprets the text:
Take, for instance, the Key Phrase “Do one’s own thinking”. Here is the result:

“The real purpose of books is to trap the mind into doing its own thinking.” -- Christopher Morley

It’s always a delight and a rewarding experience to immerse yourself into the writings of those who have the gift of words. It’s like sharpening you own vision by sharing the vision and the insight of others.

That’s exactly what we are offering you here with this unique App.

Nowhere else will you be able to find such a superb, carefully-selected collection of 9,300 English Quotes with their Spanish translations and with the inclusion of 3,200 Authors and 55 main field categories to search by.

Categories are general-type classifications such as: love, war, bible, fashion, history, etc.

However, the most remarkable search method --an absolute exclusive of Word Magic-- is the Key Word/Key Phrase functionality which has been described above. We have included no less that 25,000 of these Key search items, which link to 75,000 other elements within the Database.

Give it a try and you won’t regret it! Search for “regret”

“Happiness is essentially a state of going somewhere, wholeheartedly, one-directionally, without regret or reservation.”--. William H. Sheldon
